CGS plus releases its latest version of Aquaterra 2014, software for canal and river engineering design for BricsCAD v14. Originally developed for AutoCAD and it´s verticals, Aquaterra has been first time ported to BricsCAD in 2012.
Aquaterra is a comprehensive, full featured yet easy to use solution for canal and river engineering design. It provides a user with commands and tools to support the entire design process; from the initial input of survey data to complex 3D river/canal models with analysis tools to documentation and publishing features. It includes functionality for DTM, alignments, profiles, sections, modeling and hydraulic computations. It can easily handle large projects with alignment lengths of several hundred km.
Aquaterra assists a user in preparation of professional drawings including technical documentation such as volume calculation reports. The 3D model environment enables the user to apply various types of design analyses to the design including flooding simulations, river flow and more.
Aquaterra supports all the most widely used hydraulic models (MIKE11, MIKE21, HEC-RAS) and many country specific design standards as well.
Aquaterra is used for design projects of all varieties and scale:
- River / channel design
- Irrigation systems
- River channel and bank design for flood analysis
- Dam reservoir design
Aquaterra 2014 is designed to run on top of the latest Autodesk 2014 versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map 3D or AutoCAD as well as BricsCAD v14. It also supports several older versions of these platforms. For compatibility details please check Compatibility Chart.
