Dassault Systèmes has revealed SOLIDWORKS Mechanical Conceptual, the first SOLIDWORKS application on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
A powerful 3D modeling environment, the new application features online data storage and social collaboration on Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The application allows customers to harness collective intelligence from their design team, customers and supply chain. With this information, ideas and designs can be captured and used, meaning feedback can be quickly received.
Running on the Microsoft Windows platform, the application offers simulation-based guidance across the design phase, including the critical conceptual design stage. This helps improve product performance and lower costs.
“This is a big moment for SOLIDWORKS as we make available a key application for design that harnesses the power and cloud capabilities of Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform as well as continues SOLIDWORKS’ commitment to ease-of-use,” said Bertrand Sicot, CEO of SOLIDWORKS at Dassault Systèmes. “We have customers who have used this product and have seen tremendous benefits already, and through our burgeoning channel program, we are excited to extend these capabilities to a much broader audience.”
