LIMOV designed and managed one of the most sophisticated lifting process in LRT Musi Bridge. One of the span is near Pasar 16 Ilir Palembang, one of the oldest and most crowded traditional market in South Sumatra. Due to social and historical issue, the market area cannot be cleared for crawler cranes.
We prepared a new lifting plan where all the cranes and bridge segment sit on barge. Once the barge is in position, the bridge segment is then lifted by cranes on barge and then transferred mid-air to our Lifting Frames. Sounds easy but it is actually requires a lot of calculation and detailed modelling such as stability of the barge during the process. LIMOV can handle all these complex process because we have great multi-discipline team consists of: Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers, and Naval Architects.
