On 2 October 2017, LIMOV completed the erection of LRT Musi Bridge in Palembang. It is the most difficult part in the LRT Palembang project because the bridge erection was all done over the busy Musi River. The LRT Musi Bridge location is alongside the historical Ampera Bridge, one of the most iconic bridge in Indonesia.
LIMOV was hired by Waskita Karya in May 2017 to speed up the erection because the LRT Musi Bridge part was far behind schedule. We only have six months left to finish the erection otherwise the LRT Palembang will fail to be fully operational by the time of Asian Games 2018.
LIMOV changed the erection method, designed and built new Lifting Frames, created new lifting plans, and even managed all the barges and tug boats maneuver in the Musi River to deliver the Bridge segments to the position. We managed to complete the erection on October 2017, only five months after we took over the job. It means we finish one month ahead of the schedule.
